David Gates, DDS
Dr. David Gates was voted top speaker three years in a row at the annual Invisalign Summit, only two years after he joined the faculty. And for the last 16 years, he has taught from one side of the US to the other, and in Canada and Central America.
He was invited to join the faculty in 2003 and now is the 3rd most senior faculty member. In 2005 he began teaching the advanced courses and study clubs as well as the on-line courses.
Dr. Gates, a native of Wisconsin, graduated from Marquette University in Milwaukee, in 1986. Just 6 years later, he was practicing in one of the top cosmetic and implant practices in Las Vegas, Nevada, and in 2001 became the first dentist in Nevada to become certified in Invisalign.
Dr. Gates received training in occlusion from the Dawson Center for Advanced Dental Studies, and was mentored by Pete Dawson and Witt Wilkerson. He has also completed advanced training in veneers, cosmetics and dental implants.
Dr. Gates began teaching dental teams from other cities and states in his own office in Las Vegas in 2008 and began consulting in other offices in 2010. His emphasis was on Office communication, treatment planning and case acceptance skills and in Invisalign.
Dr. Gates and his wife Carole have been married for over 35 years and have 5 children, none of which have the slightest interest in practicing dentistry. But they do floss and they do wear their retainers.
