Dorothy Ferreira, MSDH, RDH
Dorothy Ferreira, MSDH, RDH, has been working in the dental field for 38 years. Dorothy attended Bergen Community College’s Dental Hygiene program and went on to graduate Summa Cum Laud with a bachelor and master’s degree in dental hygiene from Fones School of Dental Hygiene. Besides her clinical work in private practice and teaching at Bergen Community College, Dorothy has vast mission experience having volunteered on 16 missions with Alliance for Smiles, a nonprofit organization that provides cleft lip and palate surgery for children in underserved countries.
With her professional passion and dynamic personality, Dorothy has presented programs for many groups, has been interviewed on a number of professional podcasts and has been published in RDH magazine (November 2017). Dorothy was recently recognized as Volunteer of the Year, 2018, by Alliance for Smiles organization in San Francisco, California. She loves to share her experiences and enthusiasm for volunteer work.
