Nekia A. Staley, DDS

Dr. Staley-Neither is a native Washingtonian. She grew up with a love of caring for others with a special interest in Medicine. She is a dedicated mother of four beautiful daughters and two sons. She is also an active member of Mt. Ennon Baptist Church and volunteers as the Artistic Director of Standing Ovations Dance Academy. She began her studies at Spelman College in Atlanta, GA as a pre-med Biology major. After choosing a career in dentistry she attended and graduated from Howard University College of Dentistry with a degree in Doctor of Dental Surgery.

She is the owner and current practitioner of Special Care Dentistry in Landover, MD. Her practice has served the Prince Georges County area for the last seventeen years. Continuing her philosophy to provide care to persons of all backgrounds, Dr. Staley-Neither is a DECOD (Dental Education in the Care of Persons with Disabilities) Fellow at the University of Washington at Seattle where she trained to treat and accommodate mentally and physically challenged persons. She has been involved with the special needs’ community since her elementary years. She enjoyed volunteering at the Hospital for Sick Children and various shelters in Atlanta where she completed her undergraduate studies.

Dr. Staley-Neither is also a member of the American Dental Association and the National Dental Association. She is also a regional ambassador for Sistahs in Dentistry. She is the founder and president of Special Care for Special Needs Dentistry, a non-profit organization established to serve special needs patients and their caregivers. You can also find Dr. Staley-Neither participating, sponsoring, and serving in various health fairs, dental fairs, and other community service projects in the Washington Metropolitan Area. Dr. Staley-Neither is also a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., where she will contribute her talents to the Physical & Mental Health Committee. She just recently became the co-chair of the Prince Georges County Chamber of Commerce Health Equity Committee as well in order to better service those in her community. Dr. Neither takes time out from her busy schedule to provide dental services for those in need at the Arc of Prince Georges County. Annually Dr. Staley-Neither hosts and sponsors a community day at her practice giving away free dentistry for the community at large. She is a caring and committed professional who is dedicated to her patients’ overall health.
